Huabin homestay ホームステイ

Yesterday we were in Ky Son village at Moon Garden homestay. They call it a homestay but it is more like a boutique hotel in paradise so far...昨日はインターネットのない村に泊まった。ホームステイと言われいていたのに素晴らしいホテルらしかった。

We stayed in the Guava room--right by the Buddhist temple where we had an evening blessing ceremony. グアバ〜という部屋に泊まって隣がお寺だった。夜にお坊主さんが特別な式をやってくれた。

Bougainvillae flowers on the bed...ベッドにいつも通りお花の飾りがキレイに置いてあった。

A gorgeous sitting room...部屋もおしゃれ。。。

A lovely huge shower...シャワー室もとても大きくてリラックスたっぷりできた！

And delightful traditional doi an clothes to wear to dinner...伝統的な服もあって、夕飯の時に着てちょと恥ずかしかったけど楽しんでいた！

Very spoiled and thoroughly enjoying ourselves.  ちょっと甘えているかな。。。

11時30分からベトナム料理のクラスがあってとてもたのしかった。Lはやっぱり上手で私はちょっとスキルは違う分野だといいけど。。。そのあとは私たちが作った料理をみんなでいただきました。他も出てよかった。リラックスタイムの後、自転車に乗って1時間ぐらいの村ツアーがあって楽しかた。夜は手や足のマッサージの後ぐっすり眠れた。

At about 11:30 we joined a Vietnamese cooking class: we made spring rolls (which they fried for us), and the leaf-beef-rolls that go inside salad rolls. We also tried to make roses out of tomatoes and butterflies out of cucumber but we are still learning ;-)  We ate the lunch we made (thankfully other stuff came out to supplement our efforts). We had a bit of a break before a nice, leisurely hour-long bike ride around the village. Then in the evening, after dinner we had a ginger-and-mugwort-infused food bath before falling into a blissful sleep under a mosquito-net-tent that was probably more for show than anything else.
