フムング村へ行ってきた Trek to a H'mong village and back

Today was amazing: we walked to a local Black H'mong village and back. We met an amazing group of women: Sa and Sho were my guides, companions, and language teachers. We also met Sho, the little girl, and Dzu and May--both strong, intelligent leader types. They made us hearts and horses from foliage and we bought their hand-made brocade purses. I even learned a little H'mong: o-chau means 'thank you'. Kan-ya-hai means hello and kan-ya-mun means 'good-bye'. Fabulous day--tomorrow's aching muscles will be worth it!
